After driving 6 hours from El Mirage, Arizona I’m at my next destination: The Dana on Mission Bay .  Every time that I’m in San Diego I stay here, I love it.  Maybe it has to do with the location; overlooking the marina and Mission Bay. Or maybe it’s the wonderful pool and hot tub next to the The Firefly, an upscale restaurant with bar. It’s a place where I can relax, unwind and just be. For the next 2 days, I relax poolside, enjoy leisurely walks around the bay and nourish my body with wonderful food. This is my retreat-letting my body heal.

I have wonderful breakfast’s at the The Blue Pearl which is on the grounds of the Dana. I just love their Denver Omelet with peppers, cheese, ham and onions. The service is good with attentive wait staff. For lunch and dinner the Firefly has great food and friendly service. For Happy Hour I have the Filet Mignon flatbread-very good. For dinner I eat outside and have the short ribs-melt in your mouth goodness. As a solo traveler I feel comfortable here that’s why I come back year after year.
