Now that the date is finalized; November 20th the packing begins. My storage unit is full now I have to decide on what to bring with me.

The list: Essentials

  • Identification: Passport/license
  • cash/Amex travelers checques/debit cards
  • AAA maps/travel tiks
  • EasyPass
  • Computers/printer/chargers/back ups
  • Water/Food including snacks for the road
  • Shaker for my Nature’s Sunshine Super-food shakes
  • Cooler
  • Clothes/shoes for all types of weather
  • toilettes
  • Temper Pedic pillow (I feel like Linus from Charlie Brown dragging around my pillow with me)
  • Sunglasses
  • first aid/medicine
  • CD’s must have when the radio isn’t working

Miscellaneous:

  • Beach towels
  • books
  • mosquito netting
  • sleeping bag/blankets
  • Silverware/dishes (just a few)
  • Playing cards (when I’m bored I can cheat at Solitaire)
  • Camcorder/tapes
  • Grocery bags
  • Work stuff/notebooks/pens

I pack and re-pack a million times. Finally done. The car sits low to the ground. I hope it’s okay? I did have a bunch of work done on it to make sure it gets me safely to the west coast and beyond.

I can now hit the road.

About inthecompanyofnone

Residential Designer by Trade who also blogs about various topics. Just came back from a 6 month solo road trip which took me through 30 states and two international countries. Seeing the USA by road is amazing. It's so diverse in natural beauty and climate. Traveling solo allows me the freedom to go where and where I want without compromise. It's a sense of accomplishment to be able to travel in the company of none.
